Hand Airbrushed Spray Tanning

 

Spray tanning is the smart, fast way to get a deep, dark tan without spending time in a tanning bed or sitting in the sun. The key to getting stellar results from any spray tanning system is to prepare your skin and give the spray ample time to develop. An airbrush tan involves a tanning technician personally spraying the tanning solution on you in order to make sure that spots are not missed.

All spray tanning features Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the active ingredient that darkens the skin's pigment. DHA is derived from sugar cane and works with dead skin cells that sit on the surface to "stain" skin, leaving behind a dark color. DHA is FDA approved.

Before you go for your spray tan, here are a few things to keep in mind:

• For best results it is extremely important to completely exfoliate the dead skin cells from your face and body before getting a Spray Tan.
• Do not moisturize your skin prior to your treatment.
• Shave/Wax before you get your spray tan. Shaving over the spray tan can shorten the life of the tan by days. If you wax, get that done days before the spray also.
• The solution needs to adhere to smooth, clean, dry skin. Wear loose dark clothing for your appointment. Tight fitting clothing may cause the application to rub off. However, if the solution rubs off on your clothing, it is easily washed off. Don't wear your most expensive bikini or bathing suit or white garments.  That way you don't have any visible tanning lines, but you will instantly see how tanned you are.
• Exfoliate your face and neck with a gentle peeling cream or exfoliating gel. Exfoliate your whole body with a loofah, massage mitt or brush.
• Do NOT apply moisturizers or lotions before getting your sunless spray tan. Your tan won’t last as long.
• Do not apply makeup before getting a Spray Tan.

For most people one application is dark enough. If you desire a darker tan, please let your technician know.

BASIC  $14 & DELUXE  $18

You will stand in front of your therapist and she will simply spray you all over with tan. This should only take 5-10 minutes, during which it is a pleasant sensation and you will feel very refreshed. After spraying is finished, you will be asked to stand for a few minutes to dry before dressing. If you should choose the Deluxe Spray Tan, you will then enter the Level 3 tanning bed for 5 minutes after the spray tanning is complete
